KET (Kempston Educational Trust)

KETKempston Education Trust - what is it?

Four schools in Kempston want to work together as team. This team will be called the Kempston Education Trust. This is a new way of schools working together to make things better Kempston pupils. It began in October 2008 and will last for a long time to come.

The four schools are:

  • Hastingsbury Business and Enterprise College
  • Robert Bruce Middle School
  • Daubeney Middle School
  • Grange Specialist School

We are helped by other organisations:

  • Bedford College of Further Education
  • The University of Bedfordshire
  • Bedfordshire Primary Care Trust
  • The Bedford Charity
  • Bedfordshire Fire Service

Daubeney ImagesStaff from the schools and our business partners meet together to discuss new ideas and plan special events. We want our pupils to enjoy school, do well and gain excellent examination results that will help you succeed in the world of work.

We are working on:

  • Improving literacy
  • Challenging students to do even better
  • Training staff in wider classroom techniques
  • Helping trainee teachers develop good teaching skills
